BOOK bags

This week we turned in our BOOK bag project. For the book bag project we had to...
1. Read a chapter book- or do it about one you have already read
2. Put 6 objects in the bag (at least 3 handmade) and they had to be important to the story
3. Draw one of the main characters on the back and describe that person
4. Write the problem and solution on the back
5. And last, but not least, bring it in to Mrs. Bucci!

Book Bag Project

This month we did our first BOOK project. I did mine on Matilda. You had a paper bag and you had to read the book and make three things and get three things like pictures. I made my three things out of clay. On the bag you write the setting, the problem, solution and characters.  You were to draw pictures on the front.  I want to do this again! IT was fun!

First Snow

This week it snowed for the first time this year. Everybody got out of their seats and looked out the window. "It's snowing!" we all screamed. When I got home after soccer I went sledding down our driveway. It was full of ice. Then we had to go in for dinner. After dinner my mom, big brother and I went outside. We made snow angels and other stuff.

Spooky Substitute Teacher Yesterday!

There was a guest substitute teacher yesterday Ms. Iccub. She welcomed the class with some spooky activities and fun. The day began with Spooky readings on Epic and a special few rounds of Multiplication Bingo before they were off to Gym. After watching Billy Nye the Skeletal System during snack the students were invited to different Spooky Math centers to play games with their classmates. Indoor recess was a treat with the new games donated by parents and of course coding and creating on the ipads. A mystery science lesson - What would happen if you didn't have a skull? reviewed what we learned from Bill Nye and the class all turning in to skeletons as you see above. It was a very enjoyable October 31st for all the children in A123. Hope you all had a Happy Halloween!
